Datacenter Manager – AI & HPC Operations

About the role

Insight Global is recruiting a Datacenter Manager for a fast‑growing AI infrastructure company in Iceland. The role is full‑time, onsite, and focuses on maintaining high‑performance HPC and GPU environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily AI datacenter operations, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.
• Lead engineering and technician teams, managing schedules, coverage and performance.
• Act as the primary client contact for operational updates, KPI reporting and SLA compliance.
• Coordinate vendor activities for installations, maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot HPC/GPU issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience managing mission‑critical datacenter operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering and technical teams.
• Hands‑on experience supporting HPC and GPU‑based environments.
• Experience managing client relationships, SLAs, KPIs and operational reporting.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of power, cooling, environmental and facility infrastructure systems.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU technologies and AI infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CUDA and AI‑related platforms or frameworks.
