Junior Software Engineer – Infrastructure (New Grad)

About the role

Asana’s Infrastructure team is looking for a Junior Software Engineer (New Grad) to help build and operate the foundation that powers our web, mobile, and API services. You will join a world‑class engineering group, learning how to design, develop, and run large‑scale, reliable systems in a hybrid office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and improve existing infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure teams to design new systems that meet scalability and reliability goals.
• Develop tooling and frameworks that enable faster, safer development across engineering.
• Participate in on‑call rotation after training, investigating and resolving production incidents.
• Contribute to technical bootcamps and mentorship programs to raise code quality standards.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or graduating Spring/Summer 2026) with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in programming and computer science concepts.
• Interest in distributed systems and site reliability engineering.
• Growth mindset with a desire to learn from mentors and peers.

Required skills

• AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of distributed systems principles.
• Software development best practices for maintainable, high‑quality code.
• Experience (or coursework) with infrastructure tooling and automation.
