Engineering Manager, Development Infrastructure

About the role

Asana’s Development Infrastructure team builds the platform that powers daily engineering work. As an Engineering Manager you will grow and lead a small team of engineers, shaping the tools and processes that accelerate product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of 3‑7 engineers, including a technical lead.
• Define the team’s evolution and its interaction with the broader organization.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop talent to expand the team’s capabilities.
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve development velocity and developer experience.
• Influence Asana’s software development strategy and guide technical direction across the company.
• Collaborate with world‑class engineers to deliver new infrastructure capabilities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong mix of intelligence, empathy, integrity, and technical acumen.
• Ability to earn trust quickly from technically sophisticated teams.
• Focus on delivering high impact for self and team.
• Strategic mindset oriented toward long‑term consequences of decisions.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies with a willingness to apply them.
