Excel Specialist (Remote Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Excel Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. You will design realistic business scenarios and evaluate AI-generated Office documents, helping improve large language model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate complex business cases that require advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Interact with a large language model through multi-turn conversations, providing detailed prompts and assessing the quality of AI-generated outputs.
• Create, review and compare .xlsx.docx and .pptx files, selecting the best solution based on professional standards.
• Document feedback and produce side-by-side preference data to guide AI model refinements.
• Provide domain-specific insights across multiple industries to ensure diverse, real-world use cases.
• Communicate findings clearly in written reports and verbal briefings for the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Excel, PowerPoint and Word in Fortune 500 environments.
• Background in business roles such as private-equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, consultant, FP&A analyst, HR or marketing strategist.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate nuanced differences in document quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
