Excel Specialist - Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Excel Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. You will design realistic business scenarios and evaluate AI-generated Office documents, helping improve large language model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate challenging business scenarios using advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word functions.
• Engage in structured, multi-turn conversations with a large language model, presenting complex prompts and reviewing AI-generated deliverables.
• Create, edit, and assess .xlsx.docx, and .pptx files, comparing two AI solutions against professional standards.
• Document detailed feedback and side-by-side preference data to guide AI model improvements.
• Provide domain-specific insights across multiple industries and business functions to ensure diverse, real-world use cases.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional experience in Fortune 500 environments using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high-impact projects.
• Background in business roles such as private-equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Proven ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across finance, healthcare, tech, consulting, or retail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Experience interacting with LLMs or writing long‑form AI prompts is a strong plus.
