Field Area Manager – Service Operations in Iceland

About the role

ENERCON is seeking a proactive Field Area Manager to lead and develop its service operations for Iceland’s first industrial‑scale wind farm. The role will oversee the service centre in Hella, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of field services.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day operation of services and security in environments where conditions can change and processes are not always predefined.
• Ensure operational efficiencies, including cost control, inventory control, and part procurement.
• Manage all local installation operations, such as service vehicles, tools, transportation, and support infrastructure.
• Lead, support and train a team of service technicians.
• Plan and oversee maintenance activities, identify preventative challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with Icelandic laws, safety requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• University education in engineering, technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in field service and team management.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
