Icelandic QA Lead – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are looking for an Icelandic Quality Assurance Lead to join our remote contractor team. You will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Icelandic AI training projects, ensuring that all content meets the highest linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Icelandic items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through direct messages.
• Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
• Answer trainer/QA questions on wording, grammar, register, cultural context, and edge cases promptly.
• Activate and re‑engage inactive contributors, track follow‑ups, and flag availability concerns.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct onboarding and training calls to explain workflows, rubrics, and Icelandic‑specific style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of Icelandic language guidelines across the team and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Fluent in Icelandic and English with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to give precise feedback.
• Experience managing quality workflows in a remote, distributed environment.
