Procurement & Supply Chain Manager – Iceland

About the role

Climeworks is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead local procurement activities for its Icelandic Direct Air Capture projects (Mammoth and Orca). The role will serve as the primary point of contact for sourcing, contract administration and supplier management on‑site, ensuring reliable and cost‑effective supply for carbon removal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main procurement and supply chain liaison in Iceland for both Mammoth and Orca projects.
• Support project procurement, category management, MRO purchasing and coordinate ad‑hoc logistics.
• Run RFQs and RFPs, evaluate suppliers, lead negotiations and prepare pre‑award recommendations.
• Oversee post‑award contract administration, expediting and supplier performance follow‑up.
• Build and manage a robust local supplier network for industrial services, MRO, site support and logistics.
• Proactively manage supply risks, resolve supplier issues and maintain strong relationships to ensure continuity.
• Continuously improve local procurement processes, enhancing efficiency, compliance and collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, operations or business.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, MRO, category management or project procurement.
• Hands‑on experience with RFQ/RFP management, supplier evaluation, negotiations and purchase order execution.
• Familiarity with MRO procurement processes and ability to operate in project‑driven or industrial environments.
• Self‑starter with strong communication skills, practical solution‑oriented mindset and ability to perform under pressure.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills and willingness to travel are a plus.
