Senior Technician, Aseptic Processing & Manufacturing

About the role

Alvotech is looking for a Senior Technician to join its Drug Product Manufacturing team in Reykjavik. The role operates in a highly regulated, aseptic environment where precision, compliance and teamwork are essential. You will work day, evening and night shifts to keep production on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing activities in accordance with cGMP standards across cleanroom zones (Grade A, B, C, CNC).
• Support the drug product manufacturing schedule as part of a collaborative team.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for Process Analytical Instruments, internal audits and regulatory agency interactions.
• Author, review and approve procedures, SOPs, deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
• Ensure manufacturing areas and equipment remain inspection‑ready through coordination with Engineering, Facilities and EHS.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement and waste‑elimination initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Hands‑on experience in Grade A and B cleanroom environments.
• Technical education (BSc or diploma) in biotechnology, engineering, biochemistry or related field – preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GMP documentation and ability to follow batch records, SOPs and work instructions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills; proficient English.
