Database Administration Manager (1-year contract)

About the role

This position is a 1‑year fixed‑term role supporting Medis, a Teva‑backed generic pharmaceutical business. You will work closely with business development to translate needs into data solutions and ensure alignment across multiple functions. The role is an individual contributor position, collaborating with a small on‑site team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage database utilities and monitor relationships between database users and applications.
• Maintain databases across multiple platforms, including backup and recovery procedures.
• Maintain database support tools, tables, dictionaries, and data model documentation.
• Perform data‑modeling studies, develop detailed models, and keep entity‑relationship diagrams up to date.
• Design summary or aggregation tables using relational database concepts and query languages to support analysis.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers on complex data issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure staff to identify data relationships and functional requirements.
• Analyze and resolve information‑flow issues, define operating standards, and drive change‑management, automation, and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Vocational training or a degree, preferably related to finance or business.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills with a customer‑oriented mindset.
• High attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving ability, and focus on operational excellence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
