Enterprise Architect

About the role

Embla Medical’s Enterprise IT is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape and govern technology architecture across its global organization. The role works within a community of architects to ensure coherence, alignment, and adherence to standards while partnering with senior business and IT leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve enterprise technology roadmaps for a specific domain, ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise architecture.
• Advise executive, business, and IT leaders on technology investments, platforms, capabilities, and architectural trade‑offs.
• Collaborate with other enterprise and solution architects to harmonise decisions, standards, and roadmaps.
• Identify capability gaps, risks, and opportunities, recommending practical solutions that support business and IT strategies.
• Monitor emerging technologies and disruptive trends, assessing where innovation can deliver measurable business value.
• Contribute to Enterprise IT priorities, operating‑model decisions, and strategic direction as a member of the VP of Enterprise IT leadership team.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology or equivalent senior‑level experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology leadership, IT strategy, or related senior technology roles.
• Broad understanding of existing and emerging technologies, their interdependencies and relevance to business capabilities.
• Proven ability to advise, challenge and influence senior leaders, including executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technology topics into clear business language.
• Pragmatic, collaborative approach with composure to navigate differing perspectives while upholding architecture principles, governance and standards.
