Maintenance Planner

About the role

Alcoa Fjarðaál is looking for an ambitious Maintenance Planner to organise maintenance tasks, spare parts, tools, safety permits and documentation. You will manage the planning process, ensure timely progress of work orders and collaborate closely with maintenance supervisors, operations managers and technical specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Plan maintenance work in close cooperation with production and maintenance teams.
• Estimate time, spare parts and resources required for each task.
• Ensure maintenance is performed with quality, efficiency and safety as priorities.
• Create purchase requests, obtain quotations for spare parts and services, and maintain records for analysis.
• Provide coverage for other planners during absences when needed.

Required profile

• Industry education, engineering or similar practical education.
• Initiative and independence in work practices.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• High safety awareness and good interpersonal skills.
