Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Nox Medical is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of devices and accessories across its product line. The role blends hands‑on mechanical design with responsibility for product improvements, verification, manufacturing support, and supplier collaboration in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for devices and accessories, creating and releasing CAD models, drawings, and documentation.
• Support design improvements to enhance robustness, manufacturability, serviceability, quality, and cost.
• Investigate mechanical issues from manufacturing, quality, field returns, or subcontractors and propose corrective actions.
• Plan and execute design verification activities, including prototype evaluation and test documentation.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners on tooling, plastic part quality, assembly issues, and DFM feedback.
• Maintain existing products while contributing to new product development and next‑generation concepts.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Experience with plastics, including injection molding and material selection.
• Knowledge of regulated environments (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA) is a plus.
