Operations Manager – Finance Division

About the role

The Southern Health Service (HSU) is seeking a proactive Operations Manager to lead its finance division. This position focuses on budgeting, operational monitoring, analysis, and providing management information to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the preparation of the annual financial plan.
• Conduct monthly operational monitoring and variance analysis together with department heads.
• Prepare management reports, key performance indicators and dashboards for decision support.
• Analyze trends in payroll, procurement, revenue and costs.
• Support managers in planning and corrective actions for identified variances.
• Develop and maintain data quality, traceability and reporting dashboards.
• Identify and implement opportunities for AI, automation and software solutions to streamline processes.
• Monitor contracts with financial impact, flag deviations and recommend renewals or revisions.
• Perform cost and operational analyses for new projects and major decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration or a related field.
• Experience in budgeting, operational monitoring and financial or operational analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities and numerical literacy.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Self‑motivated, precise, organized and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with data analysis and large data sets.
• Interest and willingness to adopt new technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation and software development tools.
