Product Designer / Engineer

About the role

Össur is looking for an ambitious, solution‑oriented Product Designer / Engineer to join its R&D department in Reykjavík. The role covers the full product lifecycle of bracing and support solutions, from concept generation through to production launch, within a cross‑functional, international team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new bracing and support products.
• Maintain and improve existing products throughout development and production stages.
• Create prototypes and conduct functional testing.
• Manage technical data transfer to manufacturing.
• Prepare documentation that complies with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in innovation, material selection and product design.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Motivation to work in a collaborative, international environment.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D CAD) proficiency.
