Software Development Manager

About the role

Tempo is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead one or two engineering teams responsible for delivering high‑quality software solutions. The role combines people management, delivery execution, and continuous improvement within an AI‑augmented development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers, QA specialists, and other technical contributors.
• Monitor and optimize team productivity, code quality, and delivery outcomes.
• Plan and execute objectives aligned with product line goals and broader organizational priorities.
• Coordinate team execution, track capacity, and ensure sustainable delivery.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, evaluate performance, and support career development.
• Drive recruiting efforts and help shape compensation and talent decisions.
• Identify, implement, and champion workflow and process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong people‑management and coaching abilities.
• Ability to balance technical delivery with team morale and retention.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
