Biochemistry Expert – AI Content Reviewer (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert in biochemistry to evaluate and improve AI‑generated scientific content. You will review, rewrite, and rate biochemistry explanations, ensuring scientific accuracy, clear reasoning, proper terminology, and safe laboratory guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content by creating prompts and gold‑standard answers covering metabolism, enzyme kinetics, protein structure, molecular biology, genetics, and biochemical regulation.
• Evaluate and rank AI outputs to enhance scientific accuracy, reasoning quality, terminology, structure, and relevance to user prompts.
• Detect unsafe or misleading scientific statements, hallucinated mechanisms, incorrect pathways, flawed calculations, and unsupported claims, and provide detailed feedback.
• Fact‑check claims, rewrite content to best‑practice standards, and produce model answers that demonstrate high‑quality biochemistry explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum C1 proficiency in English for detailed written feedback.
• At least 3 years of experience in biochemistry research, laboratory work, teaching, scientific writing, academic review, or life‑science QA.
• Deep knowledge of proteins, enzymes, metabolic pathways, nucleic acids, cell signaling, and biochemical techniques.
• Ability to identify hallucinated claims, unsafe lab advice, and inaccurate scientific reasoning.
• Reliable, self‑directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote workflow across time zones.
