Freelance Icelandic Linguist - IT & Software Project

About the role

Acclaro is seeking native Icelandic linguists for long‑term collaboration on international localization projects, focusing on IT and software content.

Key responsibilities

• Perform post‑editing of AI‑generated content.
• Provide human translation when required.
• Review and edit translated material to ensure linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency and naturalness.
• Work on IT and software‑related content following project‑specific guidelines and terminology.

Required profile

• Native‑level Icelandic proficiency.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator or MTPE specialist.
• Proven experience in IT/software localization.
• Excellent command of Icelandic grammar, style and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly desirable.
