Information Security Officer (Junior)

About the role

The Information Security Officer is part of the Information Security department at JBT Marel, which covers Risk Management and Security Operations. The role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's security framework, acting as a security liaison between business, technology and security teams. It reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Risk management and advisory: identify, assess and document security risks across information, processes, projects and technologies; give security advice and support mitigation planning
• Policy management: write and update security policies, standards and procedures, and propose improvements to close policy gaps
• Security awareness: deliver training, assess awareness maturity and promote the right security behaviour
• Reporting, audits and operations: report on security posture and incidents, take part in audits, change management and incident coordination, and improve controls and processes
• Team contribution: work with moderate supervision, support onboarding of new members and contribute to performance evaluations

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in information management and auditing, IT/information security, computer science or a suitable mix of education and experience
• 1 to 3 years of experience in information security, risk management, IT audit, technology governance or a related field
• Basic understanding of risk management, security policy management, security awareness, incident coordination and control improvement
• Knowledge of international security standards such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, OWASP, CIS Controls, NIST or ISF Standard of Good Practice is desired
• Preferred: experience in an international or global organisation, and knowledge of the manufacturing industry
