Manufacturing Cleaning Specialist

About the role

Alvotech is seeking a Manufacturing Cleaning Specialist to perform and oversee cleaning activities in GMP‑classified areas, including Drug Substance Manufacturing zones. The role involves working shift patterns, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, EHS standards, and maintaining real‑time documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise cleaning in GMP‑classified areas such as CNC, Grade D, and Grade C according to approved SOPs.
• Execute cleaning duties during assigned shift hours and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain adequate stock of approved cleaning agents, disinfectants, and consumables for all classified zones.
• Handle, segregate, and dispose of chemical waste in compliance with site procedures and EHS regulations.
• Document cleaning activities contemporaneously in controlled documents, including logbooks and cleaning records.
• Support additional cleaning and facility upkeep tasks as directed by management.
• Communicate proactively with management, reporting deviations, non‑compliance, and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in concurrent review of documentation as defined by relevant procedures.

Required profile

• Good command of English (written and verbal) sufficient to understand procedures and complete documentation.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work in compliance with GMP and EHS standards within controlled environments.
• Basic knowledge or experience in GMP‑regulated operations, preferably in DSM or manufacturing settings.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a technical or operational role is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP cleaning procedures and documentation requirements.
• Experience with chemical waste segregation and safe disposal.
• Familiarity with the use of approved cleaning agents and disinfectants.
