Part-Time MRI Technologist – Night Shift

About the role

The Imaging Team at Northwest Specialty Hospital is looking for a part-time, night‑shift MRI Technologist. The role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging studies while ensuring patient safety and high‑quality image production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MR scans on designated anatomical regions following established protocols.
• Maintain MRI equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.
• Administer contrast agents under radiologist guidance according to site‑specific procedures.
• Assist radiologists with interventional MRI procedures.
• Prepare patients by positioning, applying immobilization devices, and providing clear explanations to reduce anxiety.
• Screen patients, visitors, and staff for MRI safety compliance.
• Document patient care and imaging details in departmental records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved two‑year Radiologic Technology program.
• MR registered, registry‑eligible, or actively pursuing certification with intent to pass registry within 18 months.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and communicate effectively in English.
• Eligibility for employment in the United States.
