R&D Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO)

About the role

Össur is looking for a Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) to join the Biomechanical Testing team within Research & Development in Reykjavík. The R&D CPO will manage prosthetic services needed for on‑site clinical testing and support product development through a pool of test users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver prosthetic services required for the execution of on‑site clinical testing activities.
• Collaborate with the Biomechanical Testing team to align clinical investigation objectives and report results to R&D stakeholders.
• Provide CPO insights and feedback to product development projects and engineering teams.
• Draft documentation that meets internal and regulatory standards.
• Work with local and international CPOs and clinics to define product requirements and support off‑site clinical testing.

Required profile

• Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist with a B.Sc. degree or equivalent qualification.
• Clinical experience in socket fabrication, fitting and support of prosthetic products.
• Strong analytical thinking and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
