R&D Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist for Biomechanical Testing

About the role

Join us in our mission to improve people’s mobility. Össur is seeking a Certified Prosthetist / Orthotist (CPO) to join the Biomechanical Testing Team within Research & Development in Reykjavík. The R&D CPO manages prosthetic services required for on‑site clinical testing and maintains the test‑user pool for product development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver prosthetic services needed for on‑site clinical testing activities.
• Collaborate with the Biomechanical Testing Team to align clinical investigation objectives and report to R&D teams and stakeholders.
• Provide CPO insights and feedback to product development projects and engineering teams.
• Draft documents that meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Work with local and foreign CPOs and clinics for input into product requirements and off‑site clinical testing execution.

Required profile

• Certified Prosthetist.
• Clinical experience in socket fabrication, fitting and support of prosthetic products.
• Good analytical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Good organizational skills.
