Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our surgical team in the Operating Room. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care throughout the pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases, ensuring safety and quality for every case.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) in the OR setting.
• Perform pre‑operative assessments, verify patient identity, surgical site marking, and case counting.
• Maintain aseptic technique, handle blood products, and anticipate surgeon needs during procedures.
• Document care accurately, communicate pertinent information to the care team, and respond to emergencies.
• Adjust care plans based on patient response and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license.
• Minimum one year of OR experience; ability to scrub and circulate is preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
