About the role

COWI is seeking a Construction Supervision Specialist to oversee a variety of infrastructure projects across the capital region and South Iceland. You will ensure that works are carried out safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of construction activities such as earthworks, pipe installations, road and tunnel works, and building projects.
• Verify that all works meet the approved plans, technical requirements, and Icelandic building codes.
• Maintain communication with clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Conduct inspections, prepare reports and document findings.
• Manage project documentation and data storage.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering education (technical, industrial, civil or similar).
• Experience in field work and construction supervision is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Icelandic building regulations and standards.
• Strong written and spoken Icelandic language skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
