Freelance Icelandic Linguist – IT & Software Projects

About the role

Acclaro is seeking native Icelandic linguists for long‑term collaboration on international localization projects, focusing on IT and software content.

Key responsibilities

• Post‑edit AI‑generated translations.
• Provide human translation when required.
• Review and edit translated content for accuracy, fluency, consistency and naturalness.
• Work with IT/software terminology following project guidelines.

Required profile

• Native‑level Icelandic proficiency.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience as a linguist, translator or MTPE specialist.
• Proven experience in IT/software localization.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Excellent command of Icelandic grammar, style and terminology.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows (highly desirable).
