Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist supports management and the leadership team in handling HR issues, assists employees with transfers, and ensures compliance throughout hiring and payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and support management with resolving HR issues and employee relations.
• Coordinate applicant reference checks, background checks, and social security verification.
• Maintain applicant flow, orientation, transfer request logs, and personnel files in HRIS.
• Support orientation of new employees and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Process and maintain payroll records according to policies.
• Generate HR data reports, answer phone calls, and create office correspondence.
• Serve as HR subject‑matter expert on project teams and train new hires on HR processes and systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related HR work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
