Medical Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our fast‑growing, purpose‑driven team at Altais. In this role you will support physicians by delivering direct patient care and handling essential administrative tasks within a paper‑less, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, perform injections, urine analysis, EKGs, wound care, and ear lavage.
• Assist with procedures and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Answer phones, triage calls, schedule and confirm appointments, and manage patient check‑in/out, co‑pays, and payments.
• Process prescription orders, referrals, authorizations, and send reminders for missed appointments, immunizations, labs, and preventive services.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient setting (3+ years preferred).
• Experience using an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR software.
