Medical Receptionist

About the role

Altais is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join its fast‑growing, physician‑first healthcare network. Working in a collaborative, paper‑less environment, you will support both administrative and clinical functions to keep the practice running smoothly and ensure an excellent patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, perform injections, urine analysis, EKGs, wound care and ear lavage.
• Answer and triage telephone calls, schedule and confirm appointments, check‑in patients and collect co‑pays.
• Assist with prescription orders, referrals, authorizations and after‑visit instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized exam room environment and support providers during procedures.
• Remind patients of overdue services such as missed appointments, immunizations, labs and preventive care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient setting (3 years preferred).
• Experience working with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR software.
