Product Engineer

About the role

Base360.ai is building an AI operating system for short‑term rental operators. As a Product Engineer you will turn real customer problems into reliable, intuitive software, working closely with founders, designers and property managers.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer workflows, identify friction points and prioritize problems worth solving.
• Design, develop and ship end‑to‑end features across frontend, backend, integrations, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with designers to create intuitive user interfaces for complex rental operations.
• Build event‑driven automation workflows that eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Develop AI‑powered features using LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage and pricing support.
• Create and maintain reliable APIs and integrations with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI and Google.
• Implement solutions for real‑time reservation sync, dynamic pricing, smart‑lock access, automated guest communication, operational forecasting and owner reporting.
• Measure product impact using customer feedback and usage data, iterating to improve adoption and efficiency.
• Make technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability, security and scalability as the platform grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software.
• Ability to work across both frontend and backend systems.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations and cloud architecture.
• Product mindset with curiosity about user needs and why features matter.
• Good judgment on usability, scope and technical trade‑offs.
• Confidence interacting directly with customers, designers and founders.
• Independent, outcome‑oriented work style and a bias toward shipping, learning and iterating.
• Interest in AI, automation and operational efficiency.
