Software Engineer – Inspection Solutions

About the role

JBT Marel is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Inspection team within the Secondary Fresh business unit. You will develop and maintain software that powers X‑ray inspection equipment used in the poultry, meat and fish processing industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop application code in C++, LUA and JavaScript/HTML for user interfaces.
• Enhance and maintain the software framework supporting inspection platforms.
• Participate in architectural design and make hardware‑software integration decisions.
• Interface with motor drives, safety controllers and various sensors.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, testing of prototypes and follow‑up support.
• Produce clear documentation of software and integration work.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to user needs.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits.
