Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper will support hotel operations by receiving, staging, and distributing merchandise across all departments. This role ensures inventory accuracy, food safety, and a clean working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate areas.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low inventory in a timely manner.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and verify freshness, cleanliness, and quality.
• Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items and document discrepancies.
• Maintain food safety and handling procedures, including cleaning and sanitising refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination for handling items of varying size.
• Comfort working in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and on uneven or slippery surfaces.
