Network Engineer

About the role

CoreTX is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Network Engineer to join its Reykjavík team. You will design, implement and maintain secure, reliable network infrastructure for modern organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose and resolve connectivity and security issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to plan upgrades, document configurations and support change management.
• Participate in capacity planning, security hardening and continuous improvement of network operations.

Required profile

• Strong background in network engineering and design, with experience deploying scalable solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in Reykjavík and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Configuration, monitoring and maintenance of routers, switches and firewalls.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with network security concepts including VPNs and access control.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+).
