Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the control and oversight of incoming GxP materials used in production. The role is based at our facilities on Sæmundargata and Lambhagavegur in Reykjavik.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general QA expertise and support for the warehouse.
• Oversee compliance of incoming GxP materials and introduce new materials for GMP use.
• Maintain qualification status of existing materials and assess change notifications from suppliers.
• Generate specifications for incoming GxP materials and handle QA disposition.
• Review and approve Quality Management System documents.
• Participate in additional quality‑related projects as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in pharmacy, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, biology or a related field.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desired.
• Familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
• Experience working with quality systems and in a GMP environment.
• Proficient English communication skills.
