Registered Nurse - PACU (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to work in our Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a same‑day surgery setting. The RN will provide comprehensive post‑operative care, ensure patient safety, and collaborate closely with physicians and ancillary departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of nursing care to patients undergoing same‑day surgery.
• Assume total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician orders and center policies.
• Monitor and control the use and charging of supplies utilized in the center.
• Assess, develop, and implement nursing care plans for post‑operative patients.
• Record and report all symptoms, reactions, and changes in patients' physical or mental condition.
• Administer medications and treatments ordered by physicians, ensuring proper documentation.
• Discharge post‑operative patients according to facility policies and provide pain or nausea management.
• Maintain patient and employee privacy, provide psychological support, and uphold rapport with physicians and external departments.
• Admit patients to the sit‑up area, perform routine charging of medications and supplies, and keep the work environment clean.
• Function independently in emergency situations, making quick, logical decisions.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and act as a resource for departmental policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• 2 years PACU/ASC experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $30.00 to $54.00 based on skill and experience.
• Full‑time schedule: five 8‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday.
