Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. You will provide comprehensive patient care throughout the pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast‑paced surgical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) for surgical patients.
• Perform pre‑operative assessments, document patient history, and verify patient identity and surgical site.
• Assist with surgical case counting, maintain aseptic technique, and manage blood product handling.
• Scrub and circulate as needed, anticipate surgeon needs, and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and document all care activities accurately.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license.
• Minimum one year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to scrub and circulate is preferred.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
