About the role
Alda Öryggi is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical development of its maritime safety management system and help expand the product internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the development of the Öldunnar platform.
- Oversee project quality, security, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure robust architecture and maintainability of the system.
- Collaborate closely with the team and drive best‑practice engineering standards.
Required profile
- Extensive experience building software and software systems, with or without AI components.
- Understanding of context‑engineering.
- Strong security awareness (XSS, CORS, secure handling of login data).
- Comfortable working with both SQL databases and Firestore.
Required skills
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, MS‑SQL, Firebase/Firestore.
- Frontend: React, React Native, Zustand, Chakra UI.
- Monitoring: Sentry (Error + APM).
