Electronics Assembler – Weighing Equipment

About the role

JBT Marel is looking for a skilled electronics assembler to work on assembling weighing equipment and electronic components such as old computers, sensors and display units. Work is done in independent teams of 10–20 people of all ages and genders, who share responsibility for completing each product. The production site in Garðabær supports custom projects for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble a wide range of weighing equipment and electronic parts.
• Install software, calibrate and test the equipment, including pre-delivery checks.
• Opportunities to develop in specialised tasks such as assembling X-ray sensors and initial testing of certified scales.

Required profile

• Electronics technician qualification or equivalent experience.
• Good spoken and written Icelandic; good written English.
• Very good computer skills and interest in technology development.
• Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, safety awareness, integrity and a positive, solution-oriented approach.
