Project Director

About the role

JDL Recruitment is partnering with a leading AI infrastructure company to find a Project Director for large‑scale data centre projects in Iceland. The role involves overseeing projects from concept to handover while ensuring compliance with regulatory and ESG standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale data centre projects through to handover to operations.
• Manage cost, schedule, risk and performance while coordinating internal teams, partners and the supply chain across multiple countries.
• Support commercial, procurement and contracting activities and ensure delivery meets regulatory and ESG requirements.

Required profile

• 12+ years delivering major construction projects, preferably hyperscale or mission‑critical.
• Degree in a related discipline and fluent English.
• Design‑and‑build or EPC experience from concept through to commissioning.

Required skills

• Strong MEP knowledge.
• Data centre construction expertise.
