Quality Assurance Manager – Data Centres

About the role

You will act as the Employer’s on‑site QA/QC lead for a fast‑track 100 MW data centre project in Iceland, providing independent oversight of the Contractor’s design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day QA/QC oversight across civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, ICT, fire and security works.
• Review and monitor Contractor quality plans, ITPs, method statements, inspection procedures and quality records.
• Define and enforce hold points, witness points and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor critical equipment and supplier quality, including FATs, certificates, test documentation and material traceability.
• Manage NCRs, defects, observations, punch items and corrective actions through to closure.
• Oversee quality readiness for commissioning, functional testing, integrated systems testing and customer witness testing.
• Produce quality dashboards, risk reporting and turnover readiness information for project leadership.

Required profile

• Proven QA/QC management experience on large‑scale data centre, mission‑critical, industrial or complex MEP projects.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC Yellow Book design‑build contracts.
• Experience with Employer’s Requirements, Contractor’s Documents, ITPs and project close‑out procedures.
• Broad technical knowledge across civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, fire, ICT and commissioning disciplines.
• Ability to identify emerging quality risks early and prevent rework or delays.
