Technical Product Owner

About the role

JBT Marel is seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead the lifecycle of cross‑industry weighing, grading, streamline and inspection solutions within the Secondary Fresh business unit. The role bridges mechanical engineering, platform architecture and process design while ensuring innovation projects follow the company’s framework.

Key responsibilities

• Own product lifecycle after the free‑for‑sales milestone, collaborating with product management, global innovation, service and supply‑chain teams.
• Maintain standards, processes and drive updates in partnership with internal customers and international technical teams.
• Evaluate and prioritize design‑update requests, specials and maintenance together with service teams.
• Focus on standardisation, modularisation, platform usability, cost pricing and scalability.
• Delegate tasks to engineering partners and facilitate special meetings for incoming orders.
• Contribute to the maintenance and sustainment roadmap for the Secondary Fresh portfolio.

• Structured, methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to critically assess compliance and technical performance.
• Experience managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
• Problem‑solving focus on regulatory and compliance topics.
• Degree in Engineering, Food Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Good English proficiency and technical communication ability.
