Financial Analyst

About the role

Embla Medical is looking for a driven and analytical Financial Analyst to join its finance team in Reykjavík. The role covers financial analysis, forecasting, planning and reporting to support management decision-making, working closely with managers and support functions. The position can be based in Iceland or in Poland.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data for management
• Prepare forecasts for the company's support functions
• Prepare reports and presentation materials for management
• Analyze variances between budgets and actual results and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure the quality and reliability of financial and operational information

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, finance, economics or a related field
• At least four years of experience in financial analysis, reporting and financial planning
• Strong analytical skills and clear communication of complex information
• Initiative, structured approach, and ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience working with management; the company encourages applications from all genders and backgrounds

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI is an advantage
• Interest in using technology, automation and AI to improve analysis and reporting
