MRI Technologist – Per Diem (PRN) Position

About the role

The Imaging Team at Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a team‑oriented MRI Technologist for a per‑diem (PRN) assignment, typically one day per week and may include weekends. This role focuses on delivering high‑quality MR scans while ensuring patient safety and equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MR imaging procedures on designated anatomical regions following established protocols.
• Maintain MRI equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of repairs.
• Administer contrast agents under radiologist guidance according to site‑specific protocols.
• Assist radiologists with interventional MR procedures.
• Screen patients, families, and visitors for MRI safety and adhere to infection‑control policies.
• Prepare patients by positioning, using immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
• Document patient care and imaging details in departmental records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an approved two‑year Radiologic Technology program.
• MR registered, registry‑eligible, or actively documenting cases to sit for registry within 18 months.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and communicate effectively in English.
• Eligibility for employment in the United States.
